Accounting Feature in Menu Tiger
Overview
The Accounting section in Menu Tiger is your centralized hub for tracking your restaurant’s financial performance.
It provides real-time visibility into sales, orders, taxes, discounts, and tips ensuring you have accurate data for reporting, compliance, and decision-making.
How to view my total sales, discounts and other sales data?
- Log in to your Menu Tiger dashboard.
In the left-hand menu, scroll down and click Accounting.
The Accounting page will display your financial summary, including:
- Total Sales
- Total Discounts
- Total Orders
- Total Tax
- Total Tip
- You can filter results by Store and Date Range using the dropdown menus at the top.
Key Capabilities
With the Accounting feature, you can:
- Automatically log sales from every transaction—no manual entry needed
- Categorize orders as Completed, Pending, or Canceled for accurate reporting
- Calculate taxes based on your settings, with adjustments for refunds or cancellations
- Record tips from customers and include them in summaries
- Track discounts applied to each order to measure promotion impact
- Export reports to Excel or CSV for offline use or third-party tools
- Reconcile sales with end-of-day reporting
How It Works
1. Order Placement
Every order placed online or in-store is automatically recorded with:
- Invoice ID
- Payment Method (Cash, Card, Custom, etc.)
- Order Status (Pending, Completed, Canceled)
- Subtotal Amount
- Discount (if applied)
- Tax applied or removed
- Tip amount (if any)
- Total Amount Charged
- Date & Time of Transaction
2. Real-Time Data Processing
- The dashboard updates instantly when an order is submitted.
- Discounts, taxes, and tips are calculated automatically based on your configured policies.

How do I download my accounting and sales data?
- Go to the Accounting page.
- On the top right of the screen, click the Download button.
- Select your preferred file format:
- Excel (.xlsx) – For advanced spreadsheet use
- CSV (.csv) – For importing into other systems
- Your file will download to your device, ready for offline use or further processing.
💡 Tip: Export your accounting report regularly to ensure you have complete financial records stored securely.
