About MENU TIGER
Q1. What is MENU TIGER?
MENU TIGER is an all-in-one, cloud-based restaurant management system. It digitizes your menu into a QR code menu, gives you a restaurant website with online ordering, accepts payments, and runs your front and back of house with a built-in POS, a Kitchen Display System (KDS) and Table Management, all from one dashboard.

Q3. What kinds of businesses can use MENU TIGER?
MENU TIGER is built for restaurants, cafés, bars and other food-service businesses, including quick-service restaurants, pizzerias, fine dining and cloud kitchens. Many retail and hospitality businesses (such as hotels) use it too. It works for quick-service, where guests order and pay first, and for full-service, where guests are seated and served.
Q4. Can I manage several branches or a franchise from one account?
Yes. You can create multiple stores, switch between them from one dashboard, and give each its own menu, hours, order settings, tables and floor plan. You can also use one shared menu layout across the whole chain instead of maintaining a separate one per branch. The number of stores depends on your plan (see Q22).
Q5. Do I need special hardware or a terminal?
No. MENU TIGER is web-based and cloud-hosted, so it runs in a browser on any laptop, desktop, tablet or phone with an internet connection. Google Chrome or Safari are recommended. The only optional extra is a receipt printer, which connects through the MenuTiger Print Agent.
Q6. Do my customers need to download an app?
No. Customers scan your QR code with their phone camera or a QR scanner app, or open your restaurant link, and the menu opens in their browser on a smartphone, tablet or iPad.
Learn more: https://www.menutiger.com/blog/how-to-order-on-a-menu-qr-code
Q7. Does MENU TIGER support multiple languages?
Yes. Your digital menu supports 19 languages, including Spanish, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Arabic, Turkish, Bahasa Indonesia and Portuguese. Customers can switch language on your menu, and you can translate menus, items, stores and website content with the Localize tab. The Admin Panel itself is available in 20 interface languages.

Q8. Does MENU TIGER take a commission on my orders?
No. MENU TIGER charges 0% commission on every order, with no setup fee and no contracts. You keep the full value of your sales; only your payment provider's own processing fees apply.
Learn more: https://www.menutiger.com/pricing
Q9. What is the difference between a static and a dynamic QR menu?
A static QR menu points to a fixed page, usually a PDF, and can't be changed without printing a new code. MENU TIGER uses dynamic QR codes, so you can update items, prices, descriptions and images at any time and the same printed code always shows the latest menu.
Learn more: https://www.menutiger.com/blog/static-menu
Q10. If I change my menu, do I need to reprint my QR codes?
No. Because MENU TIGER QR codes are dynamic, menu changes show up without regenerating or reprinting the code.
Learn more: https://www.menutiger.com/features/qrcode-menu-restaurants
Q11. How does QR ordering help reduce labor costs?
Guests browse the menu, order and pay on their own phones, so staff spend less time taking orders, explaining the menu and processing payments. You can run with a leaner team, keep service steady when you're short-staffed, and move staff to higher-value guest service.
Q12. Can QR ordering improve table turnover?
Yes. Guests order as soon as they're ready and pay without waiting for staff or queuing at the counter. Tables free up faster, which means more covers and higher sales during peak hours.
Q13. Is my customer and transaction data secure?
Yes. MENU TIGER protects business and guest data with industry-standard SSL encryption. Online payments are handled directly by secure, PCI-compliant payment gateways such as Stripe and PayPal, so customer card details are never stored on MENU TIGER's servers.

Deleted menus go to Menus → Archive and can be restored. Deleted items, modifiers, categories (with their items), orders and customers can't be recovered, so you're asked to confirm first. A KDS order marked done by mistake can be reverted from Completed.
Q106. A customer can't place an order. What should I check?
Check that the store is within its opening hours, the order type (dine-in, takeaway or delivery) is enabled, a menu is linked to the store, at least one payment method is active, and Guest Checkout is on if customers shouldn't need to log in.
Q107. A customer's payment isn't going through. What should I do?
- Ask the customer to check their internet connection.
- Check that your payment gateway (Stripe, PayPal or Adyen) is connected under Integrations.
- Make sure test mode is off and your API keys are valid.
- If it still fails, see the integration guide or contact support.

Q108. The payment status didn't update. Why?
Stripe and PayPal payments update automatically. Cash and Custom Payment orders must be marked Paid manually in the Admin Panel.
Q109. My QR code isn't scanning. What should I do?
Make sure the code is printed clearly and isn't damaged, smudged or too small, and that the customer's phone supports QR scanning (most phone cameras do).

Q110. An order came in without a table number. Why?
The customer most likely scanned your Restaurant QR code instead of a Table QR code. Only Table QR codes link orders to a table, so make sure each table shows its own Table QR code.

Q111. An order is flagged as outside my location. Why?
The customer is outside the radius set under Stores → Store → Location Details. Check the store location and radius there.
Q112. Orders aren't showing on the kitchen screen. What should I do?
Confirm the order was placed successfully, the KDS is assigned to the right store and the device is online. Then check the KDS filters (Dine-in, Takeaway, Delivery) and each item's Kitchen/Bar station.

Q113. My receipt printer isn't printing. What should I check?
Make sure the MenuTiger Print Agent is installed and running, the printer is on, connected and loaded with paper, your computer recognizes it, and it's selected under POS Settings → Receipt Printer.

Q114. I can't see the translation (Localize) fields. Why?
Add at least two languages in Restaurant Settings. The Localize tabs then appear on menus, items, stores, website content, promotions and Hot Actions.
