How do I enable sound notification?
- Go to Settings on your lefthand-side menu panel.
- Tap Notifications to access the notification sound settings.
Here you’ll see three sound notification options:
- Order notification sound
- Feedback notification sound
- Hot-action notification sound
- To enable the sound notification, click the toggle button beside each option.
- To customize the sound style, click on the dropdown list to choose your preferred sound notification. There are four options you can choose from. To test each sound, click the sound name and click the play button.
After choosing, click Save. Users and admins can hear the sound notification for every order that comes in.
Troubleshooting: What to do if sound notifications don't work
If your settings are correct but you still cannot hear sounds, follow these troubleshooting steps:
- Check Admin Panel Settings: Return to Settings > Notifications and verify that the toggle for the specific notification type (Order, Feedback, or Hot-action) is switched On.
- Verify Browser Permissions: Ensure your web browser (Google Chrome or Safari are recommended) has permission to play sounds for the Menu Tiger website. Check your browser's address bar for any "Muted" or "Blocked" icons.
- Check Device Volume: Confirm that your computer or mobile device's system volume is turned up and that the device is not in "Silent" or "Do Not Disturb" mode.
- Test Audio Output: Use the Play button in the notification settings to see if the sound triggers manually. If it doesn't, check your speakers or headset connection.
- Persistent Issues: If notifications still do not play, refresh your browser tab. For further assistance, click the Need Help? button at the bottom right of your screen to chat with a support representative.
