Why aren't my social media links working on the customer app?

Menu Tiger allows you to display your store’s social media accounts directly on your customer-facing app. This feature helps customers easily connect with your brand on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and more—making it a great way to market your business and drive social engagement.

However, if your social links aren’t working, it’s likely due to how the URLs were entered.

Correct way to enter your social media handle

When adding a social media account to your Menu Tiger store, you only need to enter the username or handle, not the full URL.

❌ Incorrect:

<code class="inline-code">https://www.facebook.com/berdoken

✅ Correct:

<code class="inline-code">berdoken

Menu Tiger already knows the base URL for each platform (e.g., https://www.facebook.com/ ), so when you enter only the username, it builds the full link correctly.

🔍 Why it’s not working

If you paste the entire web address into the field (like https://www.facebook.com/berdoken), Menu Tiger will still try to add its own base URL. This results in an invalid or broken link, like:

<code class="inline-code">https://www.facebook.com/https://www.facebook.com/berdoken

This link will not open properly on the customer side.

💡 How to fix it

  1. Log in to your Menu Tiger Admin Panel.
  2. Navigate to Settings > Social Accounts.
  3. Remove the full URL.
  4. Enter only your username or handle (e.g., berdoken for Facebook).
  5. Save your changes.
