How can I let customers order without logging in or creating an account?
By default, customers are required to sign up or log in to make online orders. Currently, there is no direct way to disable the customer sign-up requirement for orders placed through your main restaurant website or general restaurant QR code. This login process is in place to help you build a customer database and provide a more personalized experience for repeat visitors.
However, there is a workaround for in-store dining that provides a faster, login-free ordering experience. The solution is to have customers scan a table-specific QR code. Orders placed through a table QR code do not require the customer to sign up or log in.
How to Create Table QR Codes for Guest Ordering:
- Log in to your Menu Tiger admin panel.
- From the side panel, navigate to Stores and select the store you wish to configure.
Go to the "Tables" tab.
- Click the + Add New button.
- Enter the names for your tables (e.g., "Table 1," "Patio 5"). You can add multiple tables at once.
- Click Save.
- Once saved, you can download the QR codes for each table. Place these QR codes on the corresponding tables in your restaurant for customers to scan for a direct, login-free ordering experience.
- A QR code icon is designated for each listed table. Click the icon to access the QR code preview. You can download it in a PNG format by clicking the download icon.
Note: Once scanned, the Table QR code will lead your customers directly to your online menu. Orders and payments will go through without the sign-in or sign-up page.
